Umina Beach Sunrise

from $125.00

Another 4am start in order to get to this head in time for sunrise. Contrary to popular belief, I am not a morning person!

My partner and I were greeted to some sublime colour during blue hour. Hundreds of crabs scuttled out of our way. Then the sunrise and golden hour lit the rock walls up magnificently. Such a playground.

Unfortunately, the rocks are slippery and both my partner and I took our separate tumbles in different sections as we scrambled to get the best images possible. I'm still sporting a bruise and lump on my leg and their elbow is all scabby a week on. Fortunately we both managed to save our cameras.

I acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation as the traditional owners of the land on which I live and work and pay respect to their elders past and present. For over 65,000 years, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders of the lands and waters have been telling stories through their art and dance. I recognise that this land that I create on was never ceded, and that it always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
