Henley Beach, South Australia

from $125.00

Jetty's/piers fascinate me. What lurks underneath them? What holds the boards up? Do they decay? Are there starfish and other creatures to be found?

A lovely spring day in Henley with some cool breezes amongst the sunshine.

My ma lives in Adelaide, about 45mins north of the city. She treated my partner & I, and my aunty, to lunch at a very noisy winery. After lunch my partner & I took aunty’s car and drove to the beach to photograph the ocean, which is one of my happy places.

I acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation as the traditional owners of the land on which I live and work and pay respect to their elders past and present. For over 65,000 years, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders of the lands and waters have been telling stories through their art and dance. I recognise that this land that I create on was never ceded, and that it always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
